I live on Long Island N.Y and for some strange reason I can progran going to just about anywhere meaning up to at least 500 miles away but I can't program certain areas (Dix Hills, Levittown) for instance I live in Lynbrook and these areas are only about 10-30 miles away I have only one disc I think It's number 7.

First off please avoid using bold letters. It gives the impression that you are shouting. Ok, with that out of the way, check your map area that is covered by disk 7. The area you are looking for may be on another disk. Instance, in TN, east of me I have to use disk 6 but west of me I have to use disk 4. Also you need to get the latest release date that has already been updated.
