"retro" headlights
after being fed up with the aftermarket headlamps for the halogen "projector" lights i deceided to take apart the headlight and retrofit the hid projectors into it. I am goign to take the RS6 projectors and use the HID and see how they work on the aftermarket headlights. Heres the progress as of now i just took apart the headlight. Its a pain in the ***. I got some help from raymond-g from the e series forums. thanks!





now i'm just waiting for the RS6 projectors to come in more pics to come i got them off of hidplanet.com

How much do you think this will cost you in the end?

How much would it cost to just go out and buy a real HID kit?

well basically i have everything i really need now except for the hid projector part and ballast and wires and junk so about another 2-300 so total about less than 800

those kits on ebay are pieces of crap i have one at my house right now and it just sits there after dying on me after a couple of months and teh beam is also scattered

ironcheflam will have a top of the line setup and will be beside himself with the results, He is spending a little bit more to get a lot. congrats in advance ironcheflam.
