--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
this weekend i was driving my car on the highway and it shut down completely luckily iwas in the slow lane getting off the ramp. i let it sit for 5 minutes and started it back up and i was able to get home. on sunday as usual i started it to go to work and no crank no noise. the dash and everything let up but than i got a message that the car will shut down in three minutes because of low voltage. does anyone have a clue what might be going on. the funny thing is i had this car for four years and when i discovered thid site two weeks ago my car broke down go figure. if anyone has had this problem can you point me in the right direction?
it could be the battery, and if so have you changed it yourself and if you did did you have any problem?
There are some things to observe when changing the battery - suggest you do a search on the term "battery" both here and at BenzWorld.
Once you change the battery, you may have to reset many items such as seat position memory, power windows, steering wheel adjustment, and so forth. The links tell you how. See post #8 at https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ight=ESP+Reset and also see https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ighlight=reset for the steering wheel reset.
