i too will be looking to get a 04-05 S500 sport in a few yrs. I love how the S-class (actually all MBs) have an insanely crappy depreciation, and I can get used ones for so cheap.

I;m kinda done with New cars and leases. I'm expecting the fallout of the W221 to still be the same or worse so there should be plenty good deals out there. I bought a 2004 W220 last fall for 39K. that was exactly half of it's original MSRP 2 years prior.
So with that,I'm thinking Mid 30's for a W221 with decent miles should be realistic.
