01 S600 misfire
I recently purchased 01 S600 and it has been a nightmare. I can not seem to get rid of a misfire under heavy accleration, and the car goes into limp mode. I have replaced the r-coil bank and did an injector flush on seperate occasions. The misfire went away for about 2 months and surfaced again. When the misfire occurs I can turn the car off and when I restart it everything is fine. Also just replaced the A.B.C pump this car has been nothing but problems.....

I had a similar problem on my E class
For what might be worth.
I had a similar problem on my E class, I replaced the spark pugs and wires, the problem disappeared completely. I haven’t had that problem on my S500.
My reasoning of your problem might be that when requiring all the cylinders to perform at 100%, one of the cables or spark pug is not at 100% and makes the entire engine, the computer to compensate and the misfire happens. When you re-start your car the car is fine because not all the cylinders are working.
