sirius radio

Has anyone installed sirius radio in their cars I have an 02' and would like to install (or have installed) but would like it to look factory. I remember seeing on this site someone who put the receiver in the ashtray. since I dont smoke it's a great place to put it, and where would the little antena box go? can I put it on the trunck like the newer models?
Please let me know
Thanks

If you want it to look like the factory install, you will need to have the Sirius head unit installed in trunk! The unit would ideally then be connected to the command head unit! Have you talked to your dealer to see if your current command head unit is capable of this? Or are you just trying to put a Sirius system in the cabin with FM capabilities?

I am just trying to do this the easiest and I guess the cheapest way. It's an 02' so I really don't want to put that much money into this. But I also hate to see wires all over the inside of the car, and I dont like the way the after market antena box looks over the rear window and since there is the other gps antena there I would assume the trunck is where the box should go. I've seen some that are put in the front and don't like that look either.
thanks

If that's the case just go buy the small sirius receiver, there are various aftermarket kits that can be installed to be used with your FM radio. There are also many different exterior annentas that can be hidden and still work pretty good. Do a quick search on this site and you will find pictures of cars that have hidden them. Good luck, it's a pretty simiple process.

BTW, the factory parts can't be used anyway because they require the MOST bus, which is used as of 2004. That's why Sirius became available then. There is no Sirius receiver or Sirius-enabled COMAND that will work in a DB2 (pre-2004) car.
