Service A & B mileage reset
I picked up my car from the stealership on Fri night because it had to get a new cluster (5th one), and I see the mile counter for my service A is back to 10,000 miles.
My SA said it will reset itself, but it has not. I pressed him some more to reset it, and he said those counters cannot be manually overwritten, and to just keep a mental note on when the service is due. Is he BSing me?

If interested, see https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ight=reset+FSS https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ight=reset+FSS and https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ight=reset+FSS plus my effort at distilling the preceding links at https://mbworld.org/forums/mercedes-tech-talk/173342-2006-r500-fss-reset-service-procedure-secret-menu-procedure.html
If, after your next service the type of service due or the mileage is not correct, and if those procedures don't work for you, take the car back and make them do what they should.

I believe he is correct with respect to the service shown after an instrument cluster replacement. However, at the proper time for your service, the FSS can be set to show both the proper service (A or B) and the proper mileage. I do not knoiw if the mileage will "correct itself" except by being reset when service is next performed.
