No stereo sound in 02 S430

My wife had her 2002 S430 detailed last week and they got the amp/CDC/phone wet. A few days later she was driving with the radio on and all of a sudden there was no more sound. Later that day it came back again, then went out again for good. When you select CD it says "NO CDC". I took the CDC/Amp/Phone module in the trunk out and found that the CDC's connectors were corroded. Cleaned and re-installed but still no sound. Seems like the problem is within the CDC. Is there a way to get sound out of the stereo without the CD Changer working? Maybe re-routing the wires?

Any help or feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Exclamation

Clean the contacts with CRC contact cleaner... and check the fuse on the amplifier. If it still does not work, I would get an estimate from the dealer and have the detail shop pay for the damages.

For now I swapped 2 fiber-optic cables and the sound is back. Un-hooked the CDC and going to order a new one. Since I swapped the fiber-optics I have sound for radio/nav, but the VR is inop. Which she never uses anyways. Learned a lot about the COMAND system and D2B. Sure you all know this, but you can access a hidden diagnostics menu by pressing mute + 1 + 3 all at the same time for about 5 seconds.

Needless to say I won't be using that detail shop again. Hopefully I can get them to pay!!!

When you say you swapped 2 fiber optics to get sound what did you mean by that? I have the same problem. Also which cd changer did you replace it with?

Do you mean you bypassed the components? My sound was missing and I had to bypass the phone "box" in the trunk
