2001 S430 Servicing
Looking for feedback from the forum. I purchased my 2001 S430, excellent condition with 46k miles 1 year and 3 weeks ago. I will be making a journey in April traveling about 1000k miles in 4 days.
I now have 50k miles on the S430, since I only drove 4k miles in 1 year and 3 weeks, should I service with an oil change or wait until the service A or B light comes on? I purchase the S430 from a dealer that told me they serviced and replaced all the tires before they placed it on the showroom.
Thanks in advance.

check the remaining time or milage until next service in your cluster. It will tell you how many more miles or days are left until the next service.
call the regular milage menu and then click menu up and then you know. There you also check the oil level in standstill.

If it were mine, I'd get the next service now. Pushing the oil past a year is not a good idea. In some ways, low mileage is worse than high. Water will condense in the engine and not get burned out of the oil.

I agree with whoover that pushing oil past a year is not a good idea. For more info on your FSS, see https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...97#post2001897
