Safe jacking points

I wanted to jack up the car this morning, but I cant find any obvious jacking spots for a floor jack... All I see is plastic undertray or skirt that looks like it will break if its used to jack the car. Any help (especially pictures) would be appreciated.

For the rear, use the rear differential. I don't know about the front.

becarefull when you bring the car off the jacks.. from what iv heard on the forum there is a special technique to bring the car down it has to do with teh airmatic suspension its like if u bring it down to much at first it will damage ur suspension.. im not sure what the proper way is but im sure newton probably knows as well as other people

The "special technique" is only for the S-Class, which has the airmatic suspension - and then it is a factor only if the system is has leaks. It would apply to the Lorinser, but not the other cars.

Also, there are removable plugs on the side of the standard S-Class for insertion of the jack carried in the trunk. They are just ahead of the rear wheel wells and just behind the front wheels wells. They allow the jack to slip into hard points and not damage the trim. I don't know if the Lorinser mod preserved those plugs.

However, one might want to use the trunk jack vice the floor jack if there are questions.

Those rubbers are for jackstands, not jacking points.

if they are strong enough for jackstands then they can serve as jacking points as well. I use these rubber bumpers routinely and they work fine.

Understood, but I believe Romans was talking about a hydraulic jack. You jack with a hydraulic jack either the front or back, not a corner of the car. If you would like to jack corners (for changing of one wheel etc.), use the factory jack.

Go buy a good light weight aluminum floor jack and use points on the frame right behind the plugs at each location.I don't pull my factory jack out. If I have trouble on the road I'll call roadside assistance.
