'01 S55 Body Raising Question
Hello all,
When I press the button on the dash to raise the car (either to position 1 or 2), it seems as if only the rear of the car is raising and not the front. Is this normal?
I've never measure the ride height but probably should. But, in the normal height mode, the body sits parallel to the ground, although there seems to be 3" or so of room between the front fender and tire and about 1 1/2" in the rear.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig

Almost all Mercedes sedans are designed with the rear wheel well a bit lower. With stock height, your car should be parallel to the ground and the rear wheel gap should be smaller than the front.
However, I believe when you raise the car, the whole car (front and back) should lift. If it isn't, something could be wrong. Try measuring in case you were just eyeing the height levels.
