Cd Changer For 2000 s430
Hi,
I was just wondering which cd changer model / part no. fits in the 2000 s 430. I recently purchased one and i have to put in a cd changer.
Please help me as i am completely confused on which changer to buy as i am looking online. (My dealer won't tell me model number because they want me to buy off of them). Also will i need to buy mounting brackets? and how do i know if the vehicle is supports the fiber - optic or non fiber-optic changers?
and one last question.... how can i tell if the vehicle is pre-wired with the cables to connect the changer, or do all MB come prewired??
Thanks for the help!

in the 2000 models nothing which not has been originally ordered is prewired. The original CD changer sits in the bottom of left rear fendor. The 2000 model has the so called D2B bus system (fibre optic for phone, navi, CD, TV, R/C..). If you want the full funtion in comand and cluster you the fitting part. Wires required are 1) wake up signal from comand, 12V+, ground and the fibre optic plus a ton of wires for the sound system. To me it does not sound like a DIY job. Anything other is just not right for that car. I don't know how to fit a standard changer to the sound system???
