They should.. just make sure from the seller that they have D2S low beam hid bulbs and not H-7's.... If it has h-7's for the low beam , then they have the cheap retro fit HID. It is ok if the high beam is a H-7 halogen.. based on the pics they look like a retro fit.

Hi well you can buy after market projector headlights from ebay and have them installed. If your car is non-xenon the upgrade is real real easy. you can do it yourself. But if your car has factory xenon then you need to buy after market xenon projector headlights that come with ballasts and ignitor. They are a little hard to install unless you can find someone who can do it for you. My guy did my upgrade in 20 mins. I was so surprised that i could not believe it. Earlier i had taken my car to atleast 6 workshops here in GA, but no one could figure out the installation. Well if you are on the east coast my guy can help you upgrade to the newer headlights. Just let me know. I a in atlanta, Ga.
good luck!!!!

Upgraded the Hard Way . . ..
Having read the many, many posts on W220 headlight update on this board and other boards, and seeing that the topic remains a hot topic, I would like to share my rather sordid update experience.
Nine months ago I purchased (from a FL seller) aftermarket bi-zenons (I am now well past any warranty/refund period). Cost for both roughly $1400. Installation roughly $300.
Sure, in daylight they look great, and were "plug and play." The problem was with the play. They would not adjust down (nylon adjusters on top of units failed) and scattered light in unintended places. They were a mess. Stealer's unsuccessful attempt to align cost another $300. City's top (non-MB Dealer) mechanic's unsuccessful attempt to repair (including removal from car) and align cost another $150.
I pulled them out myself (thanks to the multiple comments on this board on how to do so - it is true, a 10 minute job with no bumper removal needed despite service manual instructions, but be sure lights are off). The levelor apparently is malfunctioning? - not certain as it is a sealed unit and cannot be serviced.
Exasperated and weary from the constant oncoming cars' high beam flashing, I needed these units the heck out of my beautiful W220. Stealer would replace with OEMs at $2100 per side. Instead, I purchased a pair of Bosch units for $2100 a pair (from a Mercedes parts reseller) and will install them myself. Given the experience, Stealer will align the Boschs (if needed) for no charge.
The aftermarkets are headed straight for the garbage where I believe they belong. While I have summarized the costs above, perhaps the most frustrating thing about the experience is that I have spent so much Time dealing with this - multiple trips to the Stealer and mechanic; multiple phone calls; time on the message boards, etc. I'm sure you guys have been there on one part or another so you know exactly the feeling.
Note, this is the only unfortunate experience that I have had in updating the W220. The interior wood, LED side markers (thanks benznodubz and others) and tails, exterior trim, wheels and tires, etc., mostly aftermarket, went fine and look great.
I read that some of you have had decent experiences with the headlights. As you can see, mine was a bit different.

Well I am sorry you had to go through all that trouble. I had to go through some of that trouble in a sense that I purchased my projector headlights last year in november and I have just found a guy after 7 months who knew how to install these headlights. I had to take it to atleast 7 or 8 workshops even mercedes dealership and everyone told me that the upgrade was not possible. I thought I wasted my money and the seller refused to take them back for a refund. But now that I have them installed and working absolutely fine I am glad I kept them and got them installed. Mine work fine and there is no problem with beam dispersing in different directions. Matter of fact it has 8000 K phillips bulbs instead of 6000k so it is way stronger than factory xenons. I thought of getting OEM headlights but they are way too expensive. I have made up my mind I am gonna keep My S500 for another year and I am gonna get the new S550 next year...............
thanks

okay a question I have on this, man I know there are alot of these threads but I did search and didnt find anything, im a pretty savy guy so I am sure I can install these and i know quite a bit about xenons I have done quite a few retrofits, but the thing that concerns me is the autoleveling that these cars come equipped with.
now here is my plan, I plan to buy the aftermarket headlights, since I am going to retro in another HID projector anyway so the headlights in a sense will be torn into, makes no sense to hack into top $$ Oem headlights this should give me better light than the OEM bixenon anyway...well definately lowbeam wise ( i live in the city so highbeams arent a priority, nice when travelling but not necessary, also our cars come with a primitive version of bosch ballasts and these are easily boostable, so by the time I am done I should have way more than enough light on the road. (well aimed and out of other motorists line of sight of course!)
but like I said is my concern is the autoleveling, does anyone have an autoleveling malfuntion come on the info screen when you have changed to aftermarket?? and also i imagine I would just tape up the plugs for these really good and put them out of the way as this function will not be used.
This is the first car I have with factory Xenons that bug me enough to retro fit with aftermarket my other cars have either had more attractive xenons or have been halogen so no gadgetry to sacrifice.
anyone with info on this please chime in thanks

if you are going aftermarket, these are what you need. quality, plug and play with OEM xenon equipped. a lot of those ebay lights are made for the halogen (430) cars and some include just a HID conversion kit already attached claiming it as xenon hid (will not work with s500+)

The cheap ones on Ebay go for the S430 are like 275 total.
While the S500 ones with the Xenon Rdy are for like 600-700 I think that what I Infered from my research. (DEPO)
Ive seen seperate Bosch OEM Bi-Xenons go for like $1200-1400. Or $600 a headlight.

last time i talked with Wanda at Mbenznl, she had a set of new bixenons, including harnesses for the 00-02 MYs, for 1500 Euro.
now that the dollar has rebounded a bit, it's not a bad deal for a touch above
$2K.
just pointing out a better deal for those considering shelling out big money for aftermarket lights. and you don't have to worry about wires, adapters, etc.

and there is no way you seen oem bosch lights go for $1200-14 a set!! if so i wouldve bought them already. yes, i have seen them on ebay, but majority of those lights are low priced because the mounting tabs are always broken. there is a seller from germany who sells brand new oem w220 bosch lights for $1800, but he doesnt take paypal...only direct bank transfer of money...sketchy....

those links i posted are not OEM lights my friend....those are aftermarket. I have yet to see depo make w220 projector headlights that are made for already xenon equipped s class. i believe right now depo only makes them for the halogen cars (s430). however, depo does have an HID set, but it is a conversion kit that will turn your halogen s430 into a xenon HID. dont be fooled by xenon ready **** on ebay, those are for s430, unless you dont plan on using your factory HID system. then go ahead and get those "HID s430/s500/s55/s600" lights you see scattered on ebay and let the headaches and regrets roll in lol

IF you have Factory Xenon Headlights:
* For the Originally Xenon equipped car owners, we can custom pre-wired one to fit your car too, however you will not be able to use your factory Xenon HID on these new headlights. Since you do not need your factory Xenon HID anymore; you can sell it at a decent price and get a whole new set of Headlights with Xenon HID pre-installed from us. The one we custom pre-wired for you will also be plug & play and the installation is also straight forward. You will need to contact us and let us know if you fall into this category so we can do the necessary change for you.
