Motor Mounts
Hey peeps anyone ever had to replace Motor Mounts? The Dealer said mine collapesed. anyone know what this runs from non Dealer shop?

I had them done like three times on my W140 S500 and twice on my W220 S55. Usually the symptom is rough idle, but once on the S55 it was a clunk like you associate with broken motor mounts on most cars.
I don't know about costs. I'm a firm believer in extended warranties for S-class cars.

2002 S430
I had to replace 2 engine motor mounts and 1 transmission motor mount and it was something like $672. I knew they were bad because I would get a vibration in the car in 3rd gear beteen 3,000 and 4,000 RPM's.
Not sure which mounts where causing the issue but the car runs great again after the repair.
