I was informed by my dealer, that my car has been delayed once again and that November looks to be a more reasonable date for the arrival of my car.

Furthermore, I may not be able to get the Motorola v60 phone option in the new 2003 S class, but can get this in the E or C Class Models as a few executives from MB already have the v60s in their vehicles.

 

Delivery has always been set for Nov 1st, despite what other dealers (salespersons) may state. This according to MB Manhattan which is factory owned. One would presume they would know what they are talking about.

As per the V60, you lost me here, not an option on the 03 S Class? Of course it is.

As for the V60 phone, you live in NYC, so your probably right...as for To, I would not be surprised if they are behind.

By the way, is it true that the cars only come pre-wired for the phone, and the dealership actually installs the phone?

 

Your salesperson should not have dared promise you a delivery as early as August for an S Class. All due respect, he/she was shooting from the hip. Now the "delay" is being shifted towards the factories fault, not their own. I would call the dealer on it and ask why they made these promises when all other data released by MB says otherwise. Dealers often like to brag about being able to get something before anyone else can. I shy away from those types as it is an indication of deciet from the get go.

As for the phone, regardless of location in the US, I would bet anything that all S Classes have the option for the V60. As for the 600, it is not listed as an option rather it is included in the base price. Again, I think you are being mislead.

The cars do come pre-wired all the way up to the mount in the console. The dealer provides the phone, which they will activate for you if you want them to. Otherwise, the phone just slips into the mount inside the console.
