I have an 01 S500, the "service A" is up, I wonder how much is the service cost at the Mercedes Dealership? Can I just take it somewhere else?

Well it depends what needs to be repaired or replaced on ur car...and if you want it done properly you should let Mercedes do it.

Service A is basically an oil and filter change. They check a few things, but it shouldn't be too expensive. The oil and filter have to be correct, but if you can trust another shop it won't hurt to have them do it. I'd ask the dealer what they charge first.

I wouldn't let just anyone do repairs on that car, but an oil and filter change is no big deal.

What's the service B, I have a 01 S500 and in 900 miles the service B needs to be preform. How much will that set me back and what's it consist of.

Service B is a complete check up of your car plus oil change. Just did it couple of weeks ago and cost me 440 at the stealership. Next time i'm taking it to a place that I know of that specializes in MBenz but it'll be way cheaper than that. I just wanted the dealership to do a complete/thorough check up of my car thats why I took it for the service B this time. next time that wont be the case

Thx mugsy415, I know of a place in my NY area that specialized in MB so that's where i'll be heading. I just thought that there were something speial that only the stealership (lol) did.
