Exclamation S430 Ignition Problem Help

I have a 2000 S430 that sometimes when turning on stalls the first time but if u keep the key turned for 2-3 sec or so or you let it go and retry it turns on. I had a local service center test the battery to see if it held a charge and they said it was fine. Do you think it might be starter alternator????

Also another issue im getting is with the check engine light coming on. It points to evaporative emissions. Im almost positive it is the gas cap because when i remove cap clean it and install it again and i use my obd2 tool to clear the codes the problem goes away for about a day or 2. If i try to clear the code without removing the cap first it wont do anything so im thinking might be the cap. Any suggestions??? Thnks in advance!

If the engine turns over it's not the battery, starter or alternator. It could be crank position sensor, MAF or any of a hundred other things.

Issue was Crank Pos Sensor, also had a problem later on with Battery, dealer was bull****ing about starter, half the time they dont know their *** from their head, always blame it on things they "think" are the problem.

I can see why you're mad if the dealer took 5yrs to diagnose the problem and fix it!

Its always the CPS and battery, the two major w220 issues.
