Clay & wax job on W220
I ordered & used most of the stuff (clay, polish, seal, and buff machine) from Griots Garage. They cost quite a bit more than stuffs at auto store, but also is much higher quality. I saw most of the folk on the Ferrari and Vette forum vow by them, so I figure I can't go wrong w/ these stuff.
Most, if not all, of the spider mark & swivel & light scratch went away. The Griots random-orbital buff machine is an amazing machine. Granted, they're pricey, but I think they worth every penny. No need to worry about paint burn, swivel, or mark. I saw lot of black car look worse after detail job, since some buff machine cause more damage than help. Not with a dual or random orbital machine.
Car look nice now. Gliding the hand through the pain never feel better.
Btw, I have protective film on front of the car (hood, bumper, headlight). It looks quite blend in after the detail job.

also, how long did it take to complete your car?

But the results are amazing! Aside from that glass smooth finish...the shine is spectacular!
Took me 2 1/2 hour together: send car through car wash machine (5 min), then 1 hour of clay, 45 min polish, and 45 min wax. I use the Griot buff machine for polishing, and wax it by hand.
The gloss & absolute shining finish make it all worth it. I'll probably wax it again in 6 months. I don't think I have patient to clay & polish again, unless it's really bad
. Beside, I heard polishing too often will thin the paint.
