2000 w220 s500
2000 w220 dose not change gears

dose enyone know how to fix my problem? when i start the car the check engin light comes on and it dose not chang gears. its allways on the first gear its relly bad my car is a 2000 s500 w220

hmmm., might be the stuck in park problem... usually a piece breaks off inside the gear box but the check engine light doesnt usually go off?
you may have to get it towed... if you have a scanner you can plug it into your car and run a test..

You should visit trans shop ASAP. At least your car run 772.6 trans, should be very popular w/ shop and easier to troubleshoot than the 772.9

Best case: trans control unit screw up. Worse case: trans screw up

Have you checked trans oil ? If it's too low, it can't ship gear either

how do i check the transmission oil cuz i think the oil is low. when i chang the gear from park to drive its ruff and when i put it on revers and drive its sounds relly ruff
