I'm asking $25,500 or b/o... plus $1500 if you want the Giovanna Rims. I have all season tires mounted on mercedes oem 16" rims that come with the car for free.

Is the girl for sale, too? A package deal of some sort.
I was just told that 20k with 82k miles for an S500 is too much to ask for by another guy. I'm not sure how yours compares, but you may want to consider that. Even though KBB states the S500 with a value of 25k...

hi, sorry my wife is not available for sale I know what kbb states. However, i have also looked at autotrader online/cars.com etc. the cars go for anywhere between 20k - 27k. My car has only averaged under 12k miles per year, plus it has the Starmark warranty till 100k miles which all of us know is a HUGE benefit. Most of the cars for sale are not starmark certified. Plus 25500 is the asking price...everything is negotiable

The longest Starmark warranty covers a car for 100k miles or 7 years from original delivery date, whichever comes first. Most 2000 MY Starmark warranties have expired on time. What's the delivery date for this car?

It is through 2008 and unfortunately my dealership is closed now. I will find out on Monday. I want to say it is June or August of 08.

I tried to tell you a few weeks ago what you should be asking for that car. it;s not that its anything wrong with it, its a beautiful car and placing your wife in every photo doesn't hurt either if I may respectfully say so.
But the fact is these cars are just hard as hell to get rid of. Thats why you;re almost forced to trade it instead of selling it because you end up nearly wholesaling it either way.
The real market for these cars that year across the country is in the mid to high teens.. Its two months from being and an 8 calender year old car.

Right you are.. But sometimes if you can get close to what you really want, you tack on the tax discount you get from the trade, and you end up at the same place as if you sold it except you have another vehicle in the process... I'm not pushing trade or anything, just saying that;s something to consider if you just 'Have to get rid of a car.
My buddy is a salesman here and he told me of a 2000 they just got in for 17K.
In your case, you are asking 4 K more than that so if for example you got 17 on a trade for something you bought for say 40K, in my state that would equate to 3300 dollars in taxes without the trade.. with the trade it would end up being 1897.00 in taxes so you would get to absorb 1400 in tax savings. which is the same as selling the car for 18,400 and walking home. That puts you 2600 away from getting rid of your car finally.
Again, I do not advocate trading by no means, but sometimes if the right situation exists, it seems very logical. Like I said these cars a very hard to sell privately. The absolute only way dealers are moving these cars is with in house financing, and CPO warranties, or both.
I had my 04 on the market last year. but after a few months, the S was still for sale CHEAP I might add, so I decided to just enjoy it. I'm glad I did. Plus I got tired of people setting up appointments just to test drive it, and ask a bunch of stupid questions wasting up every bit of my spare time which started to become an expense within itself knowing fully well they were not ready to buy. Dealers have time for shoppers private parties do not.
