Bluetooth Question

I got a letter from AT&T that starting Fed 2008 they will not support my CDMA Startec Phone that came with my 2002 S-Class. SO my question is....do any manufactures make after market bluetooth kits for our cars and if so where could I get one? Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks

the v60 bluetooth puck works perfectly. just drop it in the cradle and sync with pretty much any bluetooth phone.

well he needs the puch a v60 cradle and the PSE with an Autosense, so it's not quite that simple or i'd already have it in my car

If I already have a car phone system do I still need the cradle and PSE with Autosense? I would assume the my pre-existing cradle would work.

If he has an '02 phone installed with the cradle, isn't it already Autosense/PSE ready?

So I looked into this further and found the following:

1. I have the Timeport Phone which means I will need to purchase the v60 craddle. (V60 cradle short-cord kit Q 682 0724)

2. I do have the PSE with Autosense based on the following information off of:
http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsit..._bulletins.htm

2002 Model: PSE “Auto Sense” (SYN 9266A) BQ 682 0754
2003 Model: PSE “Auto Sense” (SYN 9266B) Q 682 0845

Can someone confirm this? From wireless4mb.com there are only about 3 phones available from Verizon, At&T and 2 from Tmobile. Don't know if it differs for the year 2000. I wanted to sync it with my Iphone but don't know if it's possible.

Unhappy Still Have a problem

I have a 2002 S430. I converted the phone cradle to a V60 and inserted the V60 bluetooth and nothing happened. ie no light came on the puck so I could start the paring process. I have not verified that my PSE is Auto Sense (Syn 9266A) BQ682 0754. Do you think the PSE is the problem?
Thanks,
Dan Tuck

When I converted my startac to v60 I had to change the PSE also. I'm almost positive that its not compatible with the v60. You can try to talk to the guy on the parts department to see if you can try it out and return it if it doesn't work. All electronics are not returnable, exceptions ofcourse. This is what I did but I didn't have to return it. What kind of phone are you syncing?

Dan, you definitely need an Autosense or straight V60 PSE. However, your car should have been equipped with an Autosense unit. Still, if it was manufactured near the changeover of equipment, it may not have one. Best to check.

You might also check fuses and connections, both power and copper wire, to the PSE. Also, everything that should be in your fiber optic loop should be connected (see the phone bulletin for your car; http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsit..._bulletins.htm).

I have a 03. I purchased the puck, plugged it in and Viola, worked perfectly with my Samsung I730. I would imagine just about any bluetooth phone would work.

What is the average cost for a Auto Sense PSE, and best location to purchase one?
