I went out this morning and noticed a oil leak this car has never leaked anything and then this i would say about a quarter to half a cup was on the floor. the weather has been a lil cold but nothing under 40 degrees as i live in california.

It is common for the S-Class to have an oil leak. You seem to have quite a bit though, the bad news is to fix it properly it is about 1K from a good independent repair shop. Some places will tell they can fix it for 200 and all they will do is put it on a lift and clean it off. Then you get it home and is still leaking. Be careful.

Yes, basically there is a secondary seal that tends to start leaking. They have to take quite a bit apart to get to it and fix it properly, a good 10 hours of labor or so.

That seems like a lot for a static leak. Are you sure you are not leaking something else? P/S fluid perhaps?

Anywayz

If you are going to trade it Why bother?? you won't get a dime more for it..

Trany fluid also tends to leak. Jack your car and remove the plastic skid plate and you can see what's leaking from there.

Good idea and make sure it's not just as simple as the drain plug being loose. If it's loose, then it would eventually fall off and that would be horrible.
