Power trunk not opening fully?

2003 S-600
Power trunk not opening fully?
Is this normal? My trunk only opens a little over half way and then i have to push it myself to get it open all the way.. But when I hit the close button it shuts down from the fully open position.. Is there some setting I need to adjust or is this how it is?

You have the trunk limiter feature activated. I can't remember when the break off date was but later S classes can have this feature deactivate with the cluster menu and earlier cars can be deactivated while holding or pulling the trunk button in the drivers door. Verify this with your owners manual.
