ok when i bought my car, I never looked at the nav cd. I pulled it out to see it last night and it appears to be a copied cd? there is no markings on other than the usual markings of a cd that you buy in bulk from costco? I know its not current but I thought these things will not read a burned cd? does this mean its a d nav, which i think it might be according to my local dealer.

 

Please complete your profile; the model year is very important to answering your question properly, and to keep us from having to "shotgun" your answer to cover other models.

However, it is very plain that your CD is a copied disc. I'm not going to get into the hows of doing that.

If your car is 2001 through 2003, it is "D" nav. If it is '00 it could be "C" or "D" nav and you can check which by this: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...&highlight=Nav

If you have "C" nav the discs are hard to find, and were last updated in 2004. The latest "D" nav discs were 2007. See http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w220...ml#post2629191.

 

I have unused CD#1 (CA, NV, HI) that came with 2003 S55 , Nav. D (late 2000-2003 model) that will work with your car. Make me an offer if you're interested.

If your car is 2004-2006, I do have Nav DVD that will work for S class as well. Version 2006.1

 

my apoligies. my car is a 2000 the build date is 12/99 I was told when I call the dealer that since I have a copy it might be a d but i thnk its a c unless its some how upgraded?

edit: ok i judt checked that link and I do have the D nav because both options came up. So I can get the latest 07 upgrades.
