Rotors any good?

Hey folks,
My front rotors need to be replaced, and I got some ridiculous quote from the stealer, so I'm looking to get them myself and have them slapped on at Midas or someplace.

Are these rotors on ebay any good?

Your advice on which rotors to buy would be greatly appreciated, cos I've seen so many out there, such as Akenbebo, Zimmermann etc.

Thanks!

wow.. who makes those things?

I would stick with ATE, Brembo, and in a worst case can't get them anywhere else, Zimmermans. I would not place any Pacific Rim manufactured rotors on any of my cars. They might look OK but what about runout and resistance to warping, and vane design for proper heat dissipation?

Tyring to find the company 'Ultimate' and their line of brake products was a no-go.

I would also look for some good street pads like the AXXIS Ultimates (not to be confused with Ultimate I hope). They are dusty but they are a great street pad, and many people use them for track days as well (non competition just to be clear).

It's your car, and your brakes but of all the places to spend the extra dollars, I can't think of a more important place to do so.

YMMV.

just did my 03E320

i get all my parts from phil at mercedesshop.com.everything allways fits and will allways support factory warranty issues.rotors are approx $100 each for your car, wear sensors $7 each, pads $50.i havent done my S yet but if you dont have the bas issue it is simply the caliper hanger bolts, rotor holddown, its a torx and depress the caliper piston while cracking the bleed screw so you dont push degraded fluid back into the system. get the star service manual for your car. bones
