Problems! Problems! Problems!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHH!! *Sorry* I am just sick and tired of dealing with all these issues on my 2000 S500. I haven't been on the forum for a while but now that I ran into certain issues I figure I could ask someone for their expert opinion.
...So the major problem bothering me at the moment is the loss of ALL controls on my driver side door. Including window controls, trunk release, heated seat, seat positioning, door closer (when not shut all the way). For some odd reason, the passenger door functions perfectly fine. The back seats also lost the ability to function the windows. On top of that, when I am driving at night I frequently notice the wattage of my lights slightly dimming back and forth, as if there is a problem with my alternator? I am unsure if I simply need a new battery, alternator, fuses, cpu brain, or whatever else it could be?? If anyone could shed some light as to what I am up against and what solution would resolve this I'd be very greatful. Thanks!

Your own self diagnose sounds pretty good to me. I'd start out by checking the fuses first to make sure it's not just something simple. If replacing the fuses works and the problem returns, then it probably is a power management problem that could involve the batteries or alternator or both. It could be any or all of the things you mentioned. The alternator may be the root of the problem which then triggered blown fuses and other electrical failures. All I can say is , take it to the dealer, let them run a fault code detection and they should be able to get to the solution. Regardless, it sounds like the MB shop is going to have help you out.

My driver side door controls also went dead a few months ago, and the dealer replaced the fuse and it works fine now. Hopefully that's all it will take to repair yours.

I checked all my fuses and nothing was blown except for one, which did nothing. I checked the two fuse boxes in the engine, and the one fuse box in the rear passenger seat too... Sammy, this may be a dumb question but do you know how much the part and installation would cost me?
