4matic UGLY Calipers - Going to Brembo
Hello to all MB enthusiasts out there!
I used to own 2000 S430 and usual looking silver calipers without any brand name on them. Now I have 2005 S500 4matic and calipers are so ugly looking I was guessing somebody messed It all up when I had it serviced. I then checked other 4matic W220s and saw the same ugly calipers on them as well. I then learned 4matic has different brake setup, different rotors, pads etc.
So I have two questions:
1. Can I change the caliper to normal looking one with Mercedes-Benz brand on them? If so - how?
2. I want to go Brembo Big Brake or Grand Turismo Kit. But I also want to stick with 17" Rims since I like comfort. So the question is.
Will 4 (6, 8) piston brakes fit in my 17 wheels or not? If so, which ones will? I mean 14" or 16" Brembos. Since I'm in no way pro in this brake business any professional or experienced user having something like that done and willing to share info would be very much appreciated.
