Keyless Go fob - only one battery?

Hi everyone,

I changed out the key fob (Keyless Go) battery for my car (06 S500) yesterday but saw only one battery in the pull out slot/holder. Most of the instructions in the forum mentioned 2 batteries. Where is the second battery located? Thanks.

One seats right on top of the other. 3 volts each for total 6 volts so check the voltage of the one you have.

Keyless go uses only one battery. Two batteries are for normal (non-keyless go) key

Thank you kens & jd. Yes, the pullout holder from my fob only has space/room for one battery. I thought that I have to do something more to get to the second one. It is interesting that keyless go, which uses more energy, requires only one vs. two for the regular fob.

Well, is the key fob covered under basic warranty? even with the new battery installed, mine is kind of flaky. I have to push the buttons 10-15 times before the light comes on so thing happens? Thanks
