2000 s430 LAYING ON FLOOR!!!!????AIRMATIC STOP, CAR TOO LOW
I came outside sat morning and saw the front of the car a little too low, then pressed the button and the car came back up. Next day front and rear are totally on the floor. I am a new s430 owner and ive had it for only 3 weeks. Does anybody have any experience with this or know what is wrong so i can fix it. I am very handy and can replace any part. Please give your input.

Could be the pump. Could be a leaking line. Could be a pressure resevoir. Could be a strut. Could be a strut seal which wasn't fixed quickly enough, causing the pump to fail, meaning it's now strut seals and pump. Could be a relay. Could be a valve block.
The Airmatic suspension is one of the most complex and trouble-prone parts of the W220. You can replace a lot of expensive parts before you find the right one(s). I strongly recommend the dealer.

lexodude,do a search for airmatic struts
it will give you a simple check to determine if either front strut is leaking from the top seal area,soapy water sprayed on the fitting that is encased in epoxy.if it bubbles you are leaking,like the previous thread says,this may be the cause but the result could be the pump gone bad from extended duty cycle times.there are alot of components and alot of plumbing/lines that make up the system.the dealer can diagnose and reliably repair the issue.congrats on the great car,airmatic is probably why the previous owner sold it.it wont be cheap but your options are few.

lexodude,your a DIY mech/tech
get the "STAR Service" service manual library. it's a dvd with all the tech info the dealer uses to diagnose and repair your vehicle.
