I had the cluster replaced in my car around 3 months ago, now today i get this error message. It still lights up, but the brake light is on and the fuel gauge doesn't work. Has this happened to anybody before?

 

Take it back they should fix it..

 

Made an appointment today, just wondering what may have happened to it. May be a software issue.

 

going to vegas last week and we stopped to get somthing to drink.shut the car off went inside got the drinks,got back in the car and when my wife started the engine the "DISPLAY DEFECTIVE" visit workshop message came up and we noticed the fuel guage was not working.shut the engine off and restarted and everything was fine.this is our first S class,at first we were a bit nervous every time somthing electronic "glitched".we have come to accept it and wouldent drive any other car.our current "glitch" is no back lighting on the interior door handles for the front doors.rear doors light up at night to help locate the door handles.were still under warranty so when it is convenient we will let the dealer see if they can fix it.

 

this is what is happening to mine:
I am receiving different messages on the dash.
CHIP CARD NOT REGOGNIZED
LEFT TURN RIGHT TURN LAMP
MY HIGH BEAM KEEPS GOING ON AND OFF
MY LEFT TRUN SIGNAL GOES ON AND OFF
I also can hear in the morning a humming sound coming from the dash?? not sure if that has to do with anything

 

hi, its a front Sam Modual, probbly loose connections or bad.
if you could, have sombody take it out and put it back in and see what happen! good luck...

 

thanks for the reply, it only did it that one time. so i never went by the dealer...hopefully it won't return
