295/30/20?? Will it work??

I just ordered a set of 20 inch wheels for an S500. I am going with the staggard look 20X9 up front with a 2.5in lip and 20X10 with a 4.75in lip ( 3 piece wheels) . On the rear tire does anyone know if I can run a 295/30/20? My tire guy says I can do it, but i'm hearing conflicting answers from different people. I want the widest possible look. Also fyi I am taking the car to a body shop to get the fenders rolled, and possibly get the back of the rim machined so it will fit closer to the hub without rubbing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

from my experience with the 220 and 20x10 wheels...u'd be lucky to get a 285 on back there with a roll or shave...my fenders are rolled and i had rubbing with a 275...so i dont think there is anyway a 295 will work..nor have i ever seen that profile on a s...

YOu're going keep bouncing this question to all the forums till you get the answer you are looking for whIch is wrong??
There is no conflict its just people not wanting to listen. Get the 295/30/20's, and when they rub or stick out too far, you can chime back in and tell us all about it. Fender rolling will not allow you to put a truck tire on your car.

God luck.. dude

I agree....there is NO WAY you will fit a 295/30/20. I run 20 inch 3 piece wheels that are 20X10 in the rear same as your set-up and I run a 285/30/20 that is with a bit of inner fender work and even with the modification they still rub a bit on big dips........dont ruin those tires go MAX 285 but be prepared to do work under the fenders like I did.
