Came to my car from my gf's in the city .. some as.hole took something to both rear door windows and the passenger door window. Punk couldn't even break through them, in fact the inside does not have a crak (smooth the the touch) .. but the windows are all cracked and cratered .. destroyed.

Just thought I'd whine here for a minute .. I did have a leather jacket hanging in the window and my laptop was in the car, though I don't think they could see that.

Yeah, I was probably stupid for leaving that in there, but 3 windows? People suck.

I think I'm looking at just under $800 for all three .. I would've given them the freakin jacket!

does you you have glass coverage in your insurance policy? glass claims are usually $0 deductible.

Don't know of glass coverage, but this should fall under the comprehensive deductible which is usually $100.

Bummer. Living in the St. Louis area I'm familiar with not leaving anything of value in the car. If the punks see something they want they will do what it takes to get it. Nothing to see that would be easy to access they usually won't mess with your car unless they think it's a smash and grab job. We see that crap all the time in St. Louis.

LOL $800 For all three.. Good luck.. Its $800 each, for the double paned glass.. The glass that you have.. Thats why they couldn't break through.. I know because Someone tried to steal my car and cracked the rear window.. but couldn't break through..

any way someone could test how much force is required to break through the glass,i know there is a metal/thermal layer but i didnt think it added much structural integrity.
