hi Everyone,
I drive a 2005 S350 in Dubai and do a lot of highway driving. whenever I go above 50mph and there is a little crosswind gush, the car feels like it is going out of control. feels like it's being pushed out of the road. here in Dubai there are usually huge expanses of desert on either side of the road so somethimes the cross wind can get quite heavy. although i must admit i have never felt this in my previous car (C 240).
i have rechecked the alignment and the tyres (Michelin 110 Heavy Load) are almost brand new (not even 2000 miles). i have stock rims on the car (for now atleast).
I remember reading something about this a while ago on one of the forums and I have tried looking for that thread again but unfortunately could not find it. however i remember that the thread only dealt with tyre and alignment issues which i got checked and were fine.
I need to add that I recently changed the battery and for some reason I did not need to do a full command reset - everything (including the seat memory) was as though the battery had never been changed.
could anyone shed any light on this ? is there such a thing as a cross wind factor which i need to look at or have looked at from the stealership ?
any help would be appreciated.

This sounds like alignment to me. It also might have something to do with your ABC... it may not be lowering the car at speed. Short of that.... bushings?

I found that placing the car on the stiffest ride selection helps a lot during crosswinds. Give that a try.
However, the problem you describe sounds like a mechanical problem.
