Has anything been done to make the 8320 unit compatible with the 05 S500? Got spoiled with old Blackberry 7190 which dropped complete Address Book down into car.

The best thing to do is check compatibility with your car's system BEFORE you buy a phone or PDA.
There is little you can do regarding the car's system if you already have the Benz Bluetooth version 2 units that have been out for about a year. But AWS lists compatible units and firmware (which is carrier-specific) at http://www.wireless4mb.com/MB.pdf.
The 8300 from AT&T has compatible firmware; but because the 8320 is WiFi capable and the 8300 is not, I don't know that the firmware is interchangeable.
If you already have the 8320, Howard Forums may have a hack - I don't know for sure. Other contributors may have posted their compatibility results with it - the search tool on this forum (and the similar forum on BenzWorld) may help.
