I NEED HELP!!!

I have a 2000 s430 and despite all of the problems i hear on this forum i really havent had many major problems with the car although im probably just numb because all fo my previous cars were cadillacs.

Here's whats going on i have 99,000 miles and sometimes the airmatic light comes on and the car wont shift. I know i've repaced relays and fuses although none seemed to be bad. The car doesn't sit low and the pump doesn't run. (whole suspension was replaced in 06/2003 under warranty) When the light comes on sometimes its followed by the check engine light and i've also had many different lights but its always airmatic first. When this happens the car seems to get stuck in its current gear but a differnt gear every time. IT doesn't happen all the time and 9 out of 10 when cut it off it resets and works fine for a few days or even weeks. The STEALER wants me to replace the transmission although they can't guarantee that will fix my problem! Any insight it seems to me to be an electical issue because it drives fine until this happens the trans doens't slip or hesitate and its been serviced regularly. This problem seemed to start after i removed my 20" wheels that i've had on the car since 2002 and went back to factory at that time i also had the brakes and rotors replaced. Since then i've been having this problem occasionaly. PLEASE HELP IVE BEEN TO 3 STEALERSHIPS SPENT OVER 1K DOLLARS THE PROBLEM IS STILL RECURRING.

Have you been to any independent shops? I would say take it up to Motorwerks in Commerce Twp. Trust me these guys are good. Call them up, and tell them what is happening. I usually take my car to MB of St.Clair Shores for routine maintenance and Services. They are worth the drive.

Have Satish at Motorwerks take a look at it.

Good Luck!

yes cpu was reflased by two different dealers. That fixed fixed the problem for a week or two in both cases.

might be a bad sensor or a loose wire where at is the question.
