well anyhow, I'm really interested in doing it, if it's fairly reasonable. I'm wondering though does the Navi voice commands supercede the radio like the command. And how much is involved with the install. I'm fairly technical myself, and those items posted look like plug and play devices.

cant wait

I am very interested in this for my 2000 S430.
The cd changer is broken and the radio plays poorly (mostly static) when the engine is running.
The navi is ugly as well.

So these are around $1500 is that accurate?

thanx

thats correct. i ended up with a z2 and did a hard drive upgrade to a z3..... very clean install...still retained my wood grain all around, my cousin hooked me up with install, i also put a rockford fosgate 600 amp to run my factory bose speakers..and i had to put an L5 kicker for bass cause the factory one couldnt handle the new amp.......you should see how bose sounds with more powerful amp its amazing. heres a quick pic

So let me get this straight now you have a HD to play movies , listen to music, bluetooth and a Navi ? MB charges 700$ for the iphone to work. You can connect the Iphone to this system>?

How much did the whole setup cost you?

yes and no, My ipod hooks up to the radio and i can control the ipod through the radio browse albums artist etc. bluetooth works with the iphone,THE hard drive is for Navigation And Any CD you insert if you dont have your ipod, it copies it into the hard drive if you like but why would you get ATT when Verizon Wireless is better carrier, and they have the Blackberry Storm coming out???.....but yes the iphone will work, it has a DVD Player built in, so you slap in your dvd, and boom your watching movies, the setup was about 1300 for the radio, 350 for amp, 300 for sub and i gave my cousin a few bills for hooking me up. also you can keep your factory amp if your happy with the way it sounds now.

looks sick, i am about to put an upgraded Z1 and headrest dvd's in my car, i will post pics.

are you happy with the unit? how is the load time when starting up? did you do the override to be able to watch dvds while in motion? any drawbacks you have found so far? how is the navigation?

someone on the board said they worked for pioneer and was advising to get the AVIC F90, but this looks like a way better unit in my opinion. what are the differences between the two??

i dont know what the differences are, but i know the z3 is the top of the line...for pioneer, it works amazingly for me......and yes i am able to play dvd's while in motion, i had this feature bypassed.
