little update on the S...in the shop once again for misfiring...4k already spent and problem still occuring
one of the headlights went out..needed a ballast..stealer wanted 700$ for it got on from pro car parts for 120 shipped...installed the new ballast and the new led signals that were in the garage for a few months...turned out only was working..so i installed the driver side one and ordered another set..should be here in a few days..
got the dustless pads and the r1 concept drilled n slotted rotors...no complaints...

anyways i was testing out some settings on the cam n pics turned out decent so i thought id share...

are those wooden items (rear vanity mirror, front interior light housing, etc) standard on the S600?

any better than stock as far as braking goes?

 

i got the pads that get rid of the brake dust so the performance was going to go down regardless of the rotors...overall braking is fine but i say factory was better...but thats cuz the pads im pretty sure...i dont mind em at all, its better than giving the wheels a wipe down everyday cuz of the haze from the dust

 

Beautiful car mate, just take the AMG badge off. It may be a V12 but it is not an AMG.

Having an AMG package and an AMG engine are two different things, I'm not hating on him but other people will.

do you like the R1 concept rotors? I have them on my ML55 and find that braking power is not as good as OEM rotors. They also make a tapping sound. I will go back to OEM type rotor on my next job.

 

I have never heard any tapping noises, but I have noticed a decrease in braking power. I just figured the cause was the dustless pads I went with.

 

Perhaps you don't understand. You're car is not an AMG.

Your vehicle is not an AMG. It does not have an AMG engine. If you want to know what an AMG is why don't you come meet me and I can show you. Perhaps maybe you can learn then ...son.

I've never understood why people get so upset when they see an "AMG" badge on a car that's not AMG? Who cares? It's amazing to watch grown men on this forum argue about who's a "poser" and who's not.

Regardless, nice ride bro. Love the color combo.....I was initially looking for a white S600 with tan interior before buying my car, but they were next to impossible to find- especially with the AMG sport package

Awesome- best vehicle I've ever purchased. I'm embarassing people weekly running beside them.....most have no idea what it is. I got into it with a kid in an brand new SRT8 yesterday.....he smiled at me and said "yeah, no problem" when I asked him if he wanted to run. LOL. I don't even need to tell you how that went. That's been typical since I bought this car. In my Vette, it was loud, it looked fast and was expected to be fast (and it was).....no one would run me. This car brings new meaning to the word "sleeper." I'm have tempted to take OFF my V-12-BiTurbo, S65 badges....
