Mercedes S500 Sport
very fine line

There is a fine line with the law relative to changing the xenon bulbs. I believe it is okay if you have Xenons as standard equipment on your car and you just want to change out the xenon bulbs for the newer 6000K bulbs. Looks wise, it's the audi projector look - purplish blue and slight increase in luminance. On the other had if you say have an S430 with no xenon option and decide to put xenon's on your car, you should do so with the factory kit. The law requires that xenon's have to be 'self-leveling' so as not to blind people if say you have a full load of people or car in your car and your lights shine more vertically than where it should. If you just use this ebay xenon kit to put in your halogen housing, it's illegal. Though I doubt you would get pulled over just you have a mercedes and not a honda. Xenon's are symbolic of high end cars. The other big thing is that the S class computer system is so damn complicated, you run the risk of causing a short circuit and tripping a host of sensors which will most likely void your entire warranty. Spend a little bit more and get the factory kit from Mercedes. If you have any other car besides an S, CL, or SL, the kit will work.
