Transmission Problem
Hi guys,
Have prob with my S320, its a 99 W220 model.
Before i start just to say i search this forum but couldnt find anything.
There is a leak from the transmission.
First it was the seal around the sump,
That was replaced and it started again.
Reordered seal but when i went to change it
noticed the leak is actually coming from the gear selector where it enters the internals of the gearbox on the passenger side of the car (irish car so passenger side if left)
Has anyone ever had trouble with this before??

my service dvd dosent show your year
if you are lucky and patient you might be able to pry,or use a mini slide hammer to pull the seal and then carefully install the new seal without removing the actuating rod which for most applications requires dropping the valve body,nothing you want to attempt unless you are a professional mech or consider yourself one.im basing this response upon general knowledge and havent seen a ipb for your particular trans.
