why cant i post pics as attachments on a new thread,i just did the trans flush and filter on the 722.6 5 speed trans and have pics that show the process.everytime i hit the upload command from the attachment option it simply states that the web page is unavailable.im old school and have never really mastered these freaking nightmare computers.everytime i have an issue with a computer it is the equivelant of a no spark situation.it just sits there and does nothing.

The upload can take a few minutes; when it is complete, however, it will tell you so. Don't close the attachment window until you see that message.
Good luck. I'd like to see the pics.

thanks,im still at it
You seem to be going through the right steps; it may just be a temporary server problem at the forum site. Also, the "attachment" page posts the limits in size for the different kinds of acceptable files - both file size and image size, for pics. You have to adjust the pics for that (using your image editing software) before selecting/uploading them. For jpeg, 600x800 is max; and it's easiest to reduce file size by reducing resolution to 72 dpi at the same time you set the photo size (I always shoot at much higher size and resolution, and always have to reduce).
The upload can take a few minutes; when it is complete, however, it will tell you so. Don't close the attachment window until you see that message.

skylaw,it was the size of pics
thanks, resized the pics and they uploaded fine.only problem is that i did it in the test forum till i got it right.now even after deleteing them from the test forum the site will not allow me to post them in the w220 forum because the prompt keeps telling the attachments allready exist in the test forum.ive got an e mail in to the admin and hopefully will resolve it.i never would have thought the hardest part of the trans service would be trying to post the thread and pics.i can completely take apart and put back together any bell helicopter made, but i cant figuer out the hidden, evasive, burried, discrete logic of these computers.

If an administrator responds, go with what he tells you. However, when I encountered this problem a few years ago, I went back to my post and deleted all of the attachments, using the attachments window. Then just to be sure, I deleted the whole message I had posted them with. At that point, I could re-post pics.
Moments of sheer frustration. At least, for the moment, your computer seems safe!
