So my car needs a new battery. Does anyone know if I need to supply power to the car while changing the battery?

Some of the window, seat, mirror presets may have to be reprogrammed.. no biggie only takes a few min. I had my batt disconneced for a hour or so and the seat lumbar supports started working again.. It dont hurt to reset the can bus etc now and then I guess..
