Hello, newbie here. mirrow signal lights upgrade question
hello all, i just pick up a 01 s500 amg 4 days ago and i'm looking to upgrade it ASAP, I will post pictures and update my profile later. 1st all, i read all the post about this subject and none are clear enought. i would like to do a post(picture detail) on this and need your help. I got the mirror signal lights replacement on ebay and i have no idea what to do to the old one in the car, do i trash the old one and simply plug the new one in? or are there wires i need to connect to make it work with the old one? thanks in advance for any reply. Simply amazing, wasn't it, that the information you were looking for was in a sticky right at the top of the forum?
You will find that the search tool is your friend. You get answers quickly, and folks don't have to do the same work twice. Or point you to the obvious.

OK - thanks for letting us know why. Some knock-off LED mirror strips may not provide the proper resistance (true of all bulb replacements). The recommended thread suggests some that work fine.

ok, let me sum it up, it is a straightforward job, plug and play, no need to modify anything. I will show pictures on every step I took. 8 minute job. and the error message will clears out after a few start, mine cleared out after 2 start, if this still happen, then you have a defective light, purchase a different set, they are only $30 including shipping and are worth every penny.
