Hey guys, I have a S320 MY2001. The command system is firmware version DX.

I'm living in the UAE and need an updated navigation CD. I previously bought a 2003 CD from the dealer and would like a newer version now. The dealer is telling me that there is no updated CD as the system is DVD based now.

Who makes these CD's for the UAE, GCC or Middle East? Where can I get an updated one?

The provider for the maps of the MB Navigation systems is TeleAtlas (www.teleatlas.com). Unfortunately, they don't sell the maps for your system separately. They will tell you to see your local dealer for an update

The last CD-based Navigation system was built into (W220) MY 2003 cars, already using the widescreen. After that (MY 2004) they changed to DVD-based navigation systems supported by NavTeq.

Unfortunately, I don't know, whether the 2003 edition was the last one, o r whether there is any newer version available. Somebody else might know.

From my perspective, you only have three options:

1. Ask your dealer (perhaps a different one), more insistingly,
2. Send an email to TeleAtlas, asking for information and/or a set of CD's
3. Search eBay (or other means of buying/selling used CD's)

Hey guys,

if anyone is interested, i found out how to get updated Navi CD's/DVD's in the UAE. You can apparently obtain them from Etisalat.
