Front seat lumbar support
Hi all,
Out of no where my airmatic lumbar support in both front seats will not inflate or deflate. Every other airmatic function is working on the car. Is this common? Does anyone know where I should start looking for the problem? I don't use it much once I have it where I like it I leave it might not have used it in over a year. Happened to try to give a little more support to my back the other day and it wouldn't work. Then tried the passenger and that wouldn't work.
If anyone can help Thanks

I had this problem - check out the link below as I started a thread on it.
If you pull the fuse for the pump there is every chance it will reset and the lumbar will work for a while. I'm not sure which fuse as I just pulled the plug from the actual pump itself as I had the boot (trunk) trim out as I was fitting a concealed tow bar.
The pump will lock out if it's working too hard because there is a leak.
You may be really lucky but it's more than probable you have a leak which is no big deal. Soapy water spray and you'll soon find it.
Alternatively the pump itself may be twatted (as we say over here) Go for the reset and see how you fare.
I believe there is a thread on here showing pump repairs but I never needed it. Luckily.

Thanks for the link and the Picture. My questions are:
1. Where in the trunk is the Pump located?
2. Would it be the pump if only the lumbar is not working? The doors and the Trunk work fine.
Thanks

The pump is in the boot on the left handside as you are looking into it.
You will have to remove the large trim panel and it's hiding up there behind the seat in the rear quater panel - up high above your cd changer. You can't miss it as it has a load of tubes feeding into it. It is shrouded in a foam type cover.
Yes it will be the pump. The soft close etc. will still remain functional.
Should take you 15 minutes to find.
