You can use the STAR DIAG to code the rear DCMs with the correct functions. But I think you would need new door panels to accommodate the controls, wiring harnesses and god knows what else?

well i already have the seat controls and from what i see all of the connections are filled so i think the wiring for the seat must come from the rear CAN or branch off the cables coming from somewhere and thats what im trying to figure out

i mean the wiring for the seats(adjustment forward back, and heating) has to come from somewhere but i cant figure out where because all the connections on the rear seat control module are taken up when i plug it in in place of the regular one( no rear seat adjustment)

I already have the rear (split) seats in the back of my car. Wouldn't you also need the center console that drops down. In my factory edition there is a center tray under the drop down armrest to fill in the empty space.

You're absolutely right! It freaks people out all the time. The first response I always get is "I've never seen and S-Class with only 4 seats" rThe rear seats are also heated and cooled, recline, and have the massage feature.

i added power rear/vented/heated/orthopedic seats adn have pictures posted somewhere on the board. You need to get a new harness for the rear. You do not have to change the entire rear door panels. Just the small area where the switches are housed. No direct wiring is required from the door switches to seats as those commands are fed via CAN. The Rear seat control module sits under the right rear seat in a bracket.

that split in the center with the storage is only available in europe to my knowledge, what i have is the adjustable seats but the center between the two seats is just like the regular seats theres a arm rest that drops down. so basically 3 people will still be able to sit in the back. i have the harneses for the door i am just wondering which connections do i use from the rear CAN to connect the seatsm, a diagram would greatly be appreciated

Actually my car was a demo car that I purchased from Mercedes. It came with just about every available option which includes the storage compartment between the back seats.

wow. I have the reclining, heated/cooled seats, but im not aware of this massaging feature. Is that yet another feature on top of everything?
My car is pretty fully loaded, but it doesn't have that.

Yes the massage feature is on both the front and back seats. It also has a pulse control that really works great. I let my friend drive the car so I could just sit back there reading magazines while getting my back massaged.
