Warranty and aftermarket radio/nav in my car??
Due to the lack of Ipod capabilities, no blue-tooth, no USB ports and non user friendly Nav system in my 65, I'm considering having a Kenwood installed. Would this void my factory warranty for anything other than the Radio/Nav? Are there multiple things tied into the system??....ie, ESP or ABC etc??? Just curious if any of you have done this and what was involved? I can't friggin stand my OEM radio/nav and am desperately wanting to replace it.
Thanks in advance for any input-

Get the Itronic and you will have bluetooth and Ipod control like it came from the factory. I just did the install and am happy with it so far.
For warranty, I think that if you totally replace the factory radio you may have issues depending on dealer.

dont know about warranty issues. but the DNX line from kenwood is amazing, you would love any model. i got the 5120 because i got a good deal and i like having a volume knob. garmin navigation is the best and thats what they use on all of these units. every feature imaginable too; speak to call bluetooth, ipod, usb, dvd, you can do it all.

Yea, the nav system is lacking a bit, I wrestled with the thought of getting an LS 460 instead just because the navi was superior.
Maybe a better option than ruining your warranty is to use the Garmin and itronics and leave the stock HU alone. Tearing out the stock head unit seems a bit extreme to me for upgrading to better navi system.

That's exactly what my installer told me and exactly why I want one
