W220 S500 EXHAUST MOD
HAS ANYONE REMOVED THE REAR RESONATOR (SUITCASE ) ON A W220 S CLASS? IF SO HOW DOES IT SOUNDS? GOOD OR BAD IDEA ? IF ANYONE HAS DONE IT BEFORE PLEASE POST YOUR COMMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (NOTE: REMOVING THE RESONATOR BUT KEEPING THE FACTORY EXHAUST)

you got answers for everything man !!!!! it sounds like my SL500 .A DEEP SOUND RIGHT? HOW DID YOU LIKE IT? COMPARE WITH OTHER AMG STOCK HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE SOUND? DEEPER ? IT SOUNDED PRETTY DEEP TO ME . I LIKE IT

i said oxygen would know better then i would because he took out the resonators and left the stock mufflers, i took out the resonators but added AMG exhuast so its much deeper thats why i wouldnt know how it would sound with stock mufflers

I'm glad you like it. It does NOT sound like a 55K AMG motor, but more like the N/A 55 AMG cars. It's much deeper than stock. Same amount of noise when at idle, but with a load and hard acceleration it rumbles, as you see in the video. Any 55K car will sound much better though.
Chris' (02S430) exhaust had more of an AMG "tone" to it when I heard it due to the AMG mufflers. If you go with the AMG cans and delete the resonators, it would be one sweet sounding ride!
I regret putting the interior video in that video. It's a little exaggerated. The camera was down low by the shift lever and is a little more prone to picking up minute sounds. I can promise you that the noise level in the interior is exactly as it was with the resonators in place. I also did not experience any droning.
