I've been reading many articles on the S500 and many state the S500 has 306 horsepower and others say it only has 302? Which one is it?

OKAY I did further research seems like the European models seem to have more horsepower than our US version. Why do we have less power? What has been added or taken out from our car vs the Euro models?

Has to do with the tuning to comply with the different smog regulations in the US/CA. The European versions almost always have a few more HP.

might also be a difference in rating.

IN the us, its an SAE rating, and I believe the euro cars are measured in DIN hp.

Flywheel which is always a higher number

I think I remember reading it's at the wheels maybe someone can confirm if it's not than But what I'd like to know what gives the Euro version the extra 4HP

The gas they used lol or maybe he has a AMG sticker - rice HP

but on the real - i dont know much about that euro spec, but from knowing about HP/motors maybe they used a different intake piping With AirFilter that breath better with dyno testing cause 3-4 HP is nothing--- ?

Advertised horsepower ratings are almost always for crank horsepower, not at the wheels.

302HP - 18% Loss = ~248RWHP
