Sound System

Hey guys on the 2002 S-430 is the rear speaker behind the rear passengers only for bass? Cause it seems like to me when I sit in the back seat that all the sound is coming from the front speakers.

Check your fader adjustments. Ideally, though, more sound especailly the treble (i.e. voice) should be coming from the front speakers. This is often what sound judges at sound competitions look for. For example, when you go to an opera or concert the sound is coming from in front of you which is where the performance is. If sound in your car is more pronounced in the back, that means you're having your back face the performers instead of the other way around. So it is not that bad that you're hearing the bass behind you and the rest of the music in the front speakers. Also, bass frequencies you have to remember are so low that they are non localized in the ear so they appear to come from everywhere.

i checked all the settings. there all correct. thanks man that makes a lot more sense. i guess i was concerned because on my c-230 the sound in the front is just as good as the sound in the rear speakers.
