Key-card issue

I posted this in the S55 forum a couple of weeks ago when I bought the car and received a limited response, so I thought I'd try in here.

Replaced the batteries in the keycard...still can't lock, unlock or start the car with the pushbutton on the shifter. Little green lights on the card work when the button on the card is pushed. Would be nice if the engine fired up when the little button on the shifter is pushed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are several possibilities that could cause this problem everything from interference with the radio frequency, garage door opener, radar detector, etc. On occasion mine will not start the first time. However, I usually reach in my pocket and make sure that nothing is blocking the card key and it usually fires right up.
